Donald E. Finnefrock

Finnefrock DonaldDonald E. Finnefrock, 82, of 512 E 4th St, passed away at home, Tuesday, October 6, 2015, with his loving caretaker daughter, Debbie at his side.

Born February 16, 1933 in Oil City, he was a son of the late Raymond Finnefrock and Bertha Miller Finnefrock Beach.

Mr. Finnefrock attended Rockland and Oil City schools.

He served in the US Army, stationed at Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn NY and Fort Knox.

Mr. Finnefrock worked at Oil Well Supply and then for the Pennsylvania Railroad and Conrail, retiring after 42 years with no accidents.

He enjoyed camping, hunting, traveling, handyman work and crossword puzzles. He had a very quick wit, a story for everything and was young at heart.

Mr. Finnefrock was a member of the Fryburg Sportsman Club, Oil City VFW, PNA, Eagles and Pulaski Club

Surviving are three sons, Bruce Finnefrock of Oil City, Daniel Finnefrock and wife LuAnne of Fort Wayne IN, and David Eric Finnefrock and wife Cindy of Oil City; three daughters, Debbie Zacherl, with whom he lived, Dawn Ann Botts and husband Mike of Oil City and Mary Loreto of Hawaii; 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Also surviving are a brother, George Beach of Titusville; two sisters, Georgine Cropp of Oil City and Judy Kulling of Plumer; several nieces and nephews; and his dog Ralphy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step father, Virgil Beach; two brothers, Jim Finnefrock and Raymond Finnefrock; and a sister, Gertrude “Sis” Thompson Bailey.

Friends may call at the Morrison Funeral Home on Friday from 4 to 8 pm.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11 am Saturday.

Interment will be in Lamey Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the Venango County Humane Society.
