SUGARCREEK BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police say around 12:19 a.m. on November 22, a one-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 8, Allegheny Blvd., 5102 feet east of Gibb Road, in Sugarcreek Borough, Venango County.

According to police, 52-year-old Roberta J. Hovis, of Franklin, was traveling north on SR 8 when she lost control of her 2002 Jeep Liberty.

The vehicle crossed into the southbound lane in a northwest direction and continued across both southbound lanes striking a curb on the west side of the roadway. The vehicle left the west side of the roadway into a ditch and rolled onto its driver side.

The vehicle came to a rest on its drivers side facing east off the west side of SR 8.

Hovis was using a seat belt and was not injured.

She was charged with a traffic violation.
