Police: Driver Flees Scene After Car Slams into Utility Pole on Riverside Drive

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police say around 1:02 a.m. on November 8, an alleged DUI hit and run accident occurred on State Route 62 (Riverside Drive), 1394 feet north of Upper Sage Run Road, in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

According to police, 37-year-old Tiffany M. Emert, of Oil City, was traveling on SR 62 and impacted a utility pole.

She fled the scene in her 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme and was apprehended a short time later, police say.

She was not using a seat belt and suffered minor injuries.

Community Ambulance Service transported her to UPMC Northwest.

She was charged with a traffic violation.

Police say DUI and related charges are pending.

Seneca Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
