A rough shooting night for Clarion, who shot just 29 percent from the floor in the first half, caused the Golden Eagles to trail the Fighting Scots by a score of 42-29 at the break.

Clarion improved their shooting in the second half outscoring the Fighting Scots 48-40 through the period clawing their way back to within just two points with 1:48 left to play in the game, but that is as close as they would get.

The Golden Eagles’ Elijah Cottrill scored a game-high 20 points, including six of the last 10 points of the game, while grabbing seven rebounds. Stevan Rodriguez picked up his fifth double-double of the season, scoring 14 points and grabbing 14 boards in 27 minutes of action.
