Election Results: Kluck to Become Next OC Mayor; Two Seats Filled on City Council
VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) — Unofficial results in the 2023 Oil City Mayoral race show that Democrat John Kluck will be the next mayor of Oil City after earning 764 votes in Tuesday’s election.
Mayor Bill Moon, who ran a write-in campaign for mayor following his unsuccessful primary bid for a spot on the Venango County Commission, will step down as mayor on December 31.
City Council Member Nicholas B. Moran (R) came in second with 711 votes.
Michael J. Walentosky (D) retained his seat on the City Council by securing 1,058 votes and will be joined by Matthew Craig (R), who collected 1,000 votes.
Democrat Hillary Wisniewski fell short of election, capturing 828 votes.
All results remain unofficial until absentee and write-in ballots are calculated.
