Emlenton Woman Escapes Injury in Rollover Crash in Richland Township

state_policeRICHLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police say around 9:15 a.m. on November 28, a one-vehicle accident occurred on Airport Road, west of West Home Road, in Richland Township, Venango County.

According to police, 20-year-old Elaine I. Best, of Emlenton, was traveling north on Airport Road and lost control of her 2013 Nissan Rogue while negotiating a left curve.

Police say the vehicle traveled northeast off the roadway and up an embankment, traveling approximately 60 feet and then rolled over onto its roof.

The vehicle then traveled approximately 10 feet on its roof where it came to a final rest facing west in the middle of the roadway, according to police.

Best was using a seat belt and was not injured.

She was charged with a traffic violation.

Emlenton Volunteer Fire Department and Tom Hovis Towing assisted at the scene.
