Franklin Man To Be Sentenced For Child Porn, Sexual Assault

christopher-douglassFRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) – A Franklin man accused of possessing and distributing child pornography and sexually assaulting a mentally disabled girl will be sentenced on Tuesday.

The suspect pleaded guilty to 21 counts of disseminating photos of child sex acts, a second-degree felony, one count of child pornography, also a second-degree felony, one count of the criminal use of a communication facility, a third-degree felony, and one count of indecent assault against a person with a mental disability, a first-degree misdemeanor.

Other charges were dropped after plea negotiations.

Christopher Wayne Douglass, 34, of Franklin, was accused of distributing child pornography with the victims being as young as two years old.

Douglass has also been accused of having inappropriate contact with a mentally-disabled, juvenile female, who he was asked to mentor at a local church.

Police say Douglass attempted to “groom and/or persuade” the victim into becoming his girlfriend.

Douglass remains in the Venango County Jail.
