Franklin Teen Injured in Early Morning Crash

JACKSON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – An 18-year-old Franklin man was injured in a one-vehicle crash in Jackson Twp., Venango County early Monday morning.

Franklin-based State Police say the accident took place around 2:30 a.m. on Lake Creek Road when a vehicle operated by 18-year-old Mathew Burk, of Franklin, collided with a deer.

Burk’s vehicle subsequently exited the roadway and traveled into a corn field.

Burk was transported to Meadville Medical Center for treatment of injuries of an unknown severity.

Cooperstown VFD assisted at the scene.
