FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — Multiple charges have been filed against a Franklin woman who is accused of repeatedly calling 9-1-1 and making false reports.

Court documents indicate the Franklin Police filed criminal charges against 40-year-old Erin Elizabeth Emery.

According to a criminal complaint, around 6:20 p.m. on Saturday, December 25, 2021, the Franklin Police Department was contacted by Venango County 911 regarding Erin Emery.

The complaint indicates officers were familiar with Emery due to her history of “contacting emergency personnel in an abusive manner.”

According to the complaint, Emery contacted the Franklin Police Department 23 times, in which 13 of them were phone calls transferred from Venango County 911. Venango County 911 also advised there were four additional calls that were not transferred to Franklin Police due to them being hang-up calls.

The complaint indicates Emery had reported men and women outside of her home, sex trafficking, and a Meadville Police Officer harassing and sexually assaulting her. Franklin Police reportedly investigated all of Emery’s complaints and found them all to be false in nature. Emery was then verbally warned not to contact 911 or Franklin Police unless there was a true emergency.

However, the complaint states Emery continued to contact both emergency agencies, including contacts on November 6, 2021; November 15, 2021; November 19, 2021; November 21, 2021; November 23, 2021; November 27, 2021, December 1, 2021; December 4, 2021; December 5, 2021; December 6, 2021; December 15, 2021; December 21, 2021, and December 25, 2021, as well as many other times reporting false incidents.

Emery was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Andrew F. Fish at 11:10 p.m. on December 25, 2021, on the following charges:

– Communications With 911, Misdemeanor 3 (13 counts)

Unable to post $10,000.00 monetary bail, she was lodged in the Venango County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on January 12, 2022, in Venango County Central Court.
