FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) – A Franklin woman has pleaded guilty to DUI after driving into the side of a building earlier this year.

Marissa D. Wyant, 34, of Franklin, pleaded guilty earlier this month to a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

Other related charges against Wyant were dismissed as a result of the plea agreement.

Sugarcreek Police Department arrested Wyant on July 22 on DUI charges following an incident in which she struck the side of a building with a vehicle.

According to police, around 11:14 a.m. on July 14, Wyant was traveling through the parking lot of the Giant Eagle located at 541 Allegheny Boulevard when she struck the Wine and Spirits side of the building.

Minor damage, if any, was done to the building, and minor damage was done to the vehicle, police say.

Wyant’s sentencing is scheduled for February 10.
