MERCER COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) — Police say a Franklin woman suffered major injuries in a two-vehicle crash that occurred around 3:27 p.m. on July 19, on State Route 173, at its intersection with State Route 965, in Worth Township, Mercer County.

According to Mercer-based State Police, 24-year-old Angellea C. Page, of Franklin, and 37-year-old James M. Reed, of Grove City, were involved in the collision.

Police say Page was traveling west on SR 965 (Jackson Center-Polk Road) and attempted to cross its intersection with SR 173 (Sandy Lake/Grove City Road).

Reed was traveling north on SR 173, and Page failed to yield the right of way to Reed’s 2011 Ford Truck/Dump Bed and pulled her 2014 Ford Focus into the vehicle’s path, according to police.

The initial impact occurred as the front of the truck struck the center of the Ford Focus on the driver’s side.

The impact caused Page’s car to travel northwest and spin counterclockwise. A secondary impact occurred when the car struck a tree in the yard on Sandy Lake-Grove City Road.

Page’s car came to a final rest in the yard, facing southeast.

Reed’s truck came to a controlled final rest on the right shoulder of SR 173 northbound facing north.

Page suffered major injuries.

She was flown STAT Medevac to an unidentified hospital.

A passenger in her car — 25-year-old Levi A. Woods, also of Franklin — suffered moderate injuries.

He was transported to a hospital by Superior Ambulance.

Reed and a 16-year-old passenger, also of Grove City, were not injured.

All individuals were using seat belts.
