OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — A hearing was continued on Wednesday for a local woman who is accused of barricading a man inside his own home in Oil City.

Court documents indicate a preliminary hearing for 45-year-old Sabrina Lynn Buzard, of Oil City, was continued on September 15 and is scheduled to resume at 8:30 a.m. on September 22.

Buzard faces the following charges:

– Unlawful Restraint/Serious Bodily Injury, Misdemeanor 1
– Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Misdemeanor 2

She is currently free on $1,000.00 monetary bail.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred in Oil City earlier this month.

Details of the case:

According to a criminal complaint, around 7:27 a.m. on Wednesday, September 8, a known male victim contacted the Oil City Police for assistance at his residence where he reported he had been barricaded inside the residence by Sabrina Buzard and was unable to exit.

Police proceeded to the scene where they made contact with Buzard outside of the residence.

According to the complaint, Buzard told police the victim would not let her obtain items that belonged to her. She also reportedly admitted she took items from the porch of the residence and barricaded the exit.

The complaint indicates Buzard used items including but not limited to a mattress and/or box spring, the headboard for a bed, and other items to barricade the door of the residence.

Police then spoke to the victim who reported he was unable to exit the residence due to Buzard’s barricade. He also reportedly explained that there was no back exit and another door was wired shut due to a previous incident where Buzard allegedly broke the door. The door was also barricaded with a chair and other items, according to the complaint.

The victim has physical ailments that cause him to have limited physical mobility and currently uses a chair with wheels to get around while awaiting a wheelchair for further mobility both within and outside of his residence, the complaint notes.

Buzard was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Andrew F. Fish at 11:00 a.m. on September 8.
