The charges stem from an investigation initiated in October of 2019.

Details of the case:

According to a criminal complaint, Oil City Police accompanied an agent from the PA State Attorney General’s drug task force to a residence on Washington Avenue around 3:28 p.m. on October 21, 2019, to conduct a follow-up investigation regarding another incident.

While at the residence speaking to Alyson Ream, the officers noted a strong odor of marijuana. Ream’s teenage son then reportedly admitted to smoking marijuana in his room and retrieved a box with a small amount of green vegetable matter, along with a red and blue rubber pipe, according to the complaint.

The complaint states the officers noted a continued odor of raw marijuana and then requested and were granted a search warrant for the residence.

A search of the residence located 67.55 grams of marijuana in three separate clear bags, 1.89 grams of cocaine packaged into four individual baggies and placed into a single clear baggie that reportedly appeared to be packaged for sale, and 73 individual 8 mg suboxone strips located in a single yellow/orange pill bottle, the complaint indicates.

Several items of drug paraphernalia, including but not limited to rolling papers, glass smoking pipes with residue, several marijuana factory containers with residue, and grinders were also located in the residence, the complaint states.

The complaint also notes that Michael Daniels was present in the residence and admitted that he also resides there.

Ream was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey at 5:15 p.m. on June 17.

She remains free on $25,000.00 unsecured bail.

The following charges were also filed against 39-year-old Michael Daniels on June 16:
