Hearing Set for Today for Franklin Woman Busted Selling Narcotics

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — A Franklin woman is facing a hearing today on drug charges related to an undercover narcotics bust.

Court documents indicate 22-year-old Asia Charday Hall, of Franklin, is scheduled to stand for a preliminary hearing in front of Magisterial District Judge Matthew T. Kirtland at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4.

She faces the following charges:

– Criminal Use Of Communication Facility, Felony 3
– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
– Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor
– Possession of Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor (20 counts)

Hall remains lodged in the Venango County Jail on $5,000.00 monetary bail.

The charges stem from a narcotics bust that occurred in October.

Details of the case:

According to a criminal complaint, during the month of October, the Franklin Police Department conducted a controlled drug buy utilizing a confidential informant (C.I.) under the observation of Franklin Police Patrolman Floor and Attorney General Drug Task Force agents.

The complaint notes the controlled buy was conducted utilizing text messages to Asia Hall to facilitate the controlled purchase of narcotics.

According to the complaint, the purchase itself was also observed by Patrolman Floor and other Attorney General Drug Task Force agents who were able to positively identify Hall as she and the C.I. exchanged an undisclosed amount of money for an undisclosed amount of Alprazolam.

Hall was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Matthew T. Kirtland at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 22.
