beal 001James C. Beal, 80, of 31 Fisher Ave. Oil City, PA. ,died at 3:03 A.M. on, Tuesday June 23, 3015 at his home after a period of declining health.

Born in Oil City on September 26, 1934. He was the son of the late Robert L. and Anna Matterson Beal.

He was a 1953 graduate of Oil City Senior High School.

Mr. Beal was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Oil City.

A hunter He enjoyed the time he was able to spend at his camp near Titusville.

Jim was especially proud of his affiliation with Shriners International and the Shriners Children’s Hospital in Erie.

Locally He belonged to: the Zem Zem Temple and was a past president of the Venango County Lodge many times, the Acacia Grotto, Past President of the Venango County Shriners Club, Occident Council #41 of Titusville, Franklin Commandery #44, Knights Templar- York rite of Franklin and the Cyrus Royal Arch Chapter #236 of Titusville.

He was also a Life Member of the New Castle Consistory, Oil City Lodge of Perfection and the Petrolia Blue Lodge #363 and was invited to become a member of the Royal Order of Jesters, Erie Court #58.

Mr. Beal belonged to the F.O.E. Aerie # 283 of Oil City and was a Life Member of the B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge # 110 of Franklin.

His working career started with the United Natural Gas Co. and He retired as a Sub-Foreman of the Garage and Machine Shop in the East End of Oil City with National Fuel Gas.
Survivors include his wife the former Joann S. Shreffler who He married in Mayville, N.Y. on July 16, 1953 and their son, James Douglas Beal of Oil City and his companion Beverly Gardiner also of Oil City. A sister Barbara Stubler of Pittsburgh and Her two sons Robert and Michael Stubler and their families as well as special friends Gary and Karen Culp of Oil City.

Along with his parents He was preceded by a brother-in-law Thomas W. Stubler and a nephew Thomas J. Stubler.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday in the Funeral home with Rev. Don Rudge, Presiding. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.

The Reinsel Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
