| May 8, 2019

Jerrold E. DeHart, 39, of Turkey City passed away at Clarion Hospital on Saturday, May 5, 2019, following a tragic accident at his home.

Born Aug. 6, 1979, in Franklin, he was the son of Judy E. Healey DeHart and the late James E. DeHart.

Jerry always had a smile on his face, and was a great friend to many. He was a loving father and caregiver. He loved his children more than anything. Jerry loved all children. Whether it was his own children, his “bonus” kids, Caiden and Connor, his “Unofficially Adopted” neighbor kids, Devon and Katie, or the kids he coached on the baseball field, you would always see Jerry interacting with them and loving on them.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, kayaking, and poker runs. He was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan. He also enjoyed taking care of the animals on his “Funny Farm.” In addition, Jerry coached baseball at Rimersburg, and was known for being a “Cheer Dad”.

Along with his mother Jerry is survived by his children, Paige, Olivia and Liam DeHart of Turkey City and Rimersburg and Caiden and Connor Haynos of Turkey City; his girlfriend, Heather Haynos of Turkey City; a sister, Jane (Tim) LaVan of Shippenville; a brother, Joe, (Ashley) DeHart of Knox; his nieces and nephews, Brady, Brennan and Kaylee LaVan of Shippenville, and Raydin DeHart of Knox; and a brother-in-law, Justin Balentine of Butler.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father James; his grandparents, Richard and Genevieve Healey and Howard “Baldy” and Katherine “Babe” Klingler DeHart; and an uncle, Ellis Weller.
