Karle B. Lutz

Karle B. Lutz, 94, of Oil City, died peacefully in his residence on February 25, 2019.

Born November 29, 1924, in Oil City, he was a son of the late Frank B. and Clara E. Weikel Lutz.

Karle graduated Oil City High School in 1941.

He worked for Duffee Motor, Erie Pitt, and retired as a dispatcher for Lease Way.

Karle belonged to the Rouseville Masonic Lodge, and the YMCA.

Mr. Lutz was a lifelong member of the Oakland United Methodist Church and served as a head usher.

Karle married the former Emma J. Marshall on July 2, 1951, and they celebrated 66 years of marriage together, before Emma preceded Karle in death on December 23, 2017.

Surviving is a son David R. Lutz of Pittsburgh; two daughters, Kathryn E. Dymond and her husband Douglas of Lebanon, PA, and Robin R. Lutz of Arlington, VA; a daughter-in-law Julie A. Lutz of Oil City; five grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

Also surviving is a sister Mary E. McClelland of Oil City.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Emma, Karle was preceded in death by a son Karle D. Lutz, and a brother Francis J. Lutz.

Family and friends may call at the Morrison Funeral Home for visitation on Friday, March 1, from 2 pm to 4 pm.

Additional calling will be on Saturday, March 2, at the Oakland United Methodist, from 1 pm to 2 pm with the funeral service beginning at 2 pm with the Rev. Lance Tucker officiating.

Interment will be in Lamey Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Oakland United Methodist Church, 1431 State Route 428, Oil City, PA 16301.
