Kathleen “Kathy” Ann Kapp

| February 21, 2019

Kathleen “Kathy” Ann Kapp of Clarion went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 19, 2019, surrounded by loved ones.

Her legacy began in Clarion, PA on May 24, 1956. She was the loving daughter to Robert McNamara and Marion Campbell Myers and was also raised by her step-father Darell Myers, each preceding her in death. Her in-laws, the late Charles “Chuck” Kapp, and his wife, Virginia Kapp, were pillars of love and God’s light to Kathy, considering her as their own daughter.

A 1974 graduate of Clarion Area High School, she dedicated her life’s work to serving others attending Radiology school at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. She devoted her career to West Penn Orthopaedics as an X-Ray technician.

Kathy was married to Phil Kapp of Clarion PA for 28 years and together had three children, Nate Kapp (Amanda) of Monroeville, PA, Brianne Roth (Joel) of Canton, GA and Brittany McBride (Travis) who resides in DuBois, PA. Kathy’s three children were the center of her world! She spent many years in the bleachers of Clarion Area High School watching her children’s countless sporting events and school activities and is remembered to have missed none. Her support for her kids was unwavering and brought her the most joy anyone could imagine.

Also surviving Kathy are her six beautiful grandchildren Makela and Luci Kapp, Jace, Paige, and Eli Roth, and Mila McBride. Each of them radiate her unique and sincere qualities daily and it is her children’s distinct prayer that they may raise their own just like Kathy raised them.

These qualities that she will be most remembered for are her calm disposition, her thoughtfulness, her caring sentiments, her top-notch chocolate chip cookies, and of course her unconditional and constant love.

She is also survived by siblings Patrick McNamara, Cindy Gatesman, LouAnn Steiner, Dawn Merryman, and Rex Myers. Along with her siblings, her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends are all going to miss her sweet and thoughtful personality.

Arrangements are under the care of Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street in Clarion where visitation will be held on Friday, February 22 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Clarion Cemetery.
