The junior running back scored a school-record seven touchdowns — six coming in the first half — as the Oilers routed Corry, 55-6.

Knox also had 300 yards rushing in the first half alone.

He finished with 402 yards on the ground on 26 carries.

Knox now has 705 yards and 12 touchdowns in the first two weeks of the season.

Corry got the ball to start the game but was shut down quickly by the Oil City defense, which forced a punt.

Then Oil City only needed just two Knox runs to move the ball 60 yards for the first score. The 2-point attempt failed.

On the ensuing kickoff, Corry bobbled the ball and ended up downed at the 1, but with its no-huddle offense, Corry moved the ball 99 yards to to tie the game at 6-6.

At this point it was looking as though this would be quite the battle.

Then Knox took over, finding the end zone again to give Oil City the lead for good.

His 81-yard run put the Oilers up 22-6.

A Knox 43-yard run set Oil City up at the 11. A few plays later, Knox found the end zone for the fourth time.

Corry’s next drive was stopped by Knox on defense. The junior stepped in front of pass and returned it 50 yards to the Corry 21. Three Knox runs later and he was in the end zone for his fifth TD.

Knox had another touchdown run called back by penalty. It didn’t matter.

Oil City kept feeding him the ball and he capped off the drive with an 8-yard scoring run for a 42-6 halftime lead.

With the mercy clock running, Knox scored his final TD of the game — his seventh — and the Oilers capped the scoring on a 3-yard run by Carl Chelton.

Next week Oil City will hit the road to take on North East.
