Larry L. Ziegler Sr., 65, of Oil City passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Born on Feb. 23 1947 in Oil City, PA he was the son of Earl and Beaulah VanCamp Ziegler Sr.

He attended Cranberry High School.

On Feb. 26, 2001 he was married to the former Debbie Hanna who survives.

He was employed at Hays Bakery and then for Ritts Transport.

Larry enjoyed being at the race track and raced at Tri-City for many years in the 88 car. He also enjoyed auto mechanics, was an avid deer hunter and spending time on the water fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with all of his friends at Skrubby’s in Oil City.

Larry is survived by his wife Debbie, his son Larry L. Ziegler JR. and his wife Amy of Oil City, his step-son Chad Hanna of Dallas TX, step-son Curtis Hanna and his wife Chris of Oil City, and step-daughter Cheri Bramson and her husband Lyle of Franklin. 14 grandchildren: Codee, Zachery, Ty, Darian, Hunter, Madison, Curtis Jr., Miranda, Mikael, Aerika, Aleksis, Madison, Dawson, Charlesie also survive. Siblings surviving include: Earl Jr. and wife Virginia of FL, Roy of Sawtown, Wanda and her husband Perry of NC, and David and his wife Nancy of Oil City as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Special friend of the family Sherry Delp of Venus also survives.

He was preceded in death by his parent and two step-sons.

There will be no public visitation.

Burial will be at 2pm on Tuesday, August 1, 2012 in the Venus Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Faller Funeral Home to help with expenses.
