MCKEAN CO., Pa. (EYT) — A Leeper man lost his life following a crash that occurred in McKean County on Saturday afternoon.

According to WESB News, 74-year-old Duane Schmader, of Leeper, was traveling westbound on Route 6 near Mount Jewett when his car traveled into the oncoming lane, striking a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Emily Dissen of Baltimore.

Schmader was transported to a landing site to be flown to a hospital, but died en route, according to police.

Dissen was flown to UPMC Altoona for treatment of unknown injuries.

An unnamed passenger in Schmader’s vehicle was transported to UPMC Kane for treatment of minor injuries.

The crash investigation is ongoing.
