POLK BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – A 13-year-old was transported by LifeFlight on Wednesday evening for medical treatment after being stabbed during an altercation with a relative in Polk.
Court documents indicate the Polk Borough Police Department filed criminal charges against 15-year-old Landon Boone, of Polk, on Friday, March 17, in Magisterial District Judge Matthew T. Kirtland’s office.
According to a criminal complaint, a Polk Borough Police Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of Main Street, Polk, Venango County, around 6:18 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, for a 13-year-old stab victim.
During his investigation, the officer learned that Landon Boone stabbed a relative in the back and leg with a pocket knife, causing him to be transported by LifeFlight for medical treatment, according to the complaint.
The victim reported to investigators that on that evening, Landon Boone started an altercation with him. Boone was the initial aggressor, starting a verbal altercation with the victim, the complaint indicates.
The argument escalated to the point that Boone began to drag the victim and strike him in the face and body. At that point, the victim attempted to restrain Boone’s arms. Boone then pulled out a pocket knife and held it to the victim’s throat, the complaint states.
The victim then grabbed the blade of the knife and attempted to pull the knife away from his throat while striking at Boone. Because the victim grabbed the knife blade, he sustained a cut on the webbing of his hand between the thumb and index finger on the left hand, according to the complaint.
At that point, Boone stabbed the knife into the right thigh of the victim, who then began to yell for help from another relative. Boone then stabbed the victim in the right side of his back with the pocket knife, according to the complaint.
After the second stabbing, the fighting stopped and emergency services were called, the complaint notes.
