Local Woman Injured in Crash on Palmer Avenue

SUGARCREEK BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) — Police say a local woman was injured in a crash that occurred early Sunday morning on Palmer Avenue in Sugarcreek Borough.

According to police, the crash happened around 5:02 a.m. on Sunday, October 24, on Palmer Avenue, at its intersection with an unnamed street, in Sugarcreek Borough, Venango County.

Police say 32-year-old Joshua A. Heath, of Oil City, was operating a 2008 Subaru Impreza traveling north on Palmer Avenue when the vehicle went off the roadway and struck the end of a guide rail. Heath then coasted the vehicle backed to get it off Palmer Avenue and onto Prospect Avenue.

According to police, neither Heath nor his passenger, identified as 24-year-old Samantha D. Attleberger, of Franklin, were using seat belts.

Attleberger suffered suspected minor injuries but refused transport.

Heath was not injured.

The vehicle sustained heavy disabling damage to the front end and the passenger side bumper.

Community Ambulance and Lowrey’s Towing assisted at the scene.

Heath was cited for a traffic violation.
