Man Arrested After Allegedly Assaulting Police Officer, Others in Harrisville Borough

HARRISVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – A man is behind bars for reportedly assaulting a police officer and others in Harrisville Borough.

According to the Harrisville Borough Police Department, officers were dispatched to the area of N. Main Street in Harrisville Borough, Butler County, for a reported disturbance.

Police say once officers encountered the suspect at the residence, the suspect physically assaulted a Harrisville Police Officer.

The suspect also assaulted other members within the household prior to police arrival.

The suspect—listed as a known actor—was taken into custody and lodged into the Butler County Prison on the following charges:

  • Aggravated Assault
  • Simple Assault
  • Criminal Mischief

The suspect’s name was not released.
