Man Jailed on Assault Charges After Physical Altercation at Forest County Camp

HOWE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — According to Marienville-based State Police, an assault occurred around 2:30 a.m. on May 3 at a camp along Blue Jay Road, in Howe Township, Forest County.

Police say the incident occurred when Marion Dennis Hodge, 41, of Pittsburgh, and a 33-year-old Pittsburgh woman engaged in a physical altercation.

As a result of the altercation, the victim sustained minor injuries in the form of bruising in various locations on her body.

According to court documents, Hodge was taken into custody and charged with the following:

– Terroristic Threats with Intent to Terrorize Another, Misdemeanor 1
– Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
– Harassment — Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary

Police say Hodge was released from jail following a preliminary arraignment after posting $5,000.00 bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 12 at 10:00 a.m. before District Judge Daniel L. Miller.
