Marilyn Jean Frazier

Marilyn Jean Frazier, 75, of Strattanville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at her home.

She was born on July 2, 1944; daughter of the late Varian and Lillian Myers Wheeler.

Marilyn married Floyd Cecil “Butch” Frazier; whom preceded her in death on July 21, 2019.

She was a loving and devoted homemaker and lifelong resident of the Clarion area.

Marilyn was a master in the kitchen. Her skills began at a young age and were used to bless her family and friends throughout the years, whether it was a full course meal in the house or her camping cuisine that she could whip up like nobody’s business.

Marilyn was also a talented seamstress and quilt maker.

Talents that she enjoyed sharing with her family throughout her life will be enjoyed through the following generations.

She had a giving heart and enjoyed serving others.

Marilyn’s love for her family along with humor and wit will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children: Lori DeWitt and her husband, Rick, of Auburn, Indiana, Lawrence Scot Frazier of Cartersville, Georgia, Don McCleary and his wife, Kim, of Marienville, Gina DeLair and her husband, Wade, of Clarion, and Jon Rachele Frazier of Cartersville, Georgia.

Marilyn had a special place in her heart for her eleven grandchildren: Nathan DeWitt, Jesse DeWitt, Isaac DeWitt, Lawrence Scot Frazier, Jr., Chelsea Marie Frazier, Amber Nicole Frazier, Stephanie Perry, Alexis Bauer, Hannah Armstrong, Stephanie Beichner, and Elizah Cade Frazier and a great-grandson: Noah DeWitt.

She is also survived by her siblings: Ted Wheeler of Craig, Colorado, Roger Wheeler and his wife, Elaine, of Irvine, California, and Joyce Buss of Auburn, Indiana; a special lifelong friend: Polly Rupert; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, a brother: Ronnie Wheeler, and a sister: Doris Wheeler.

The Robert V. Burns Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

At Marilyn’s request, there will be no public visitation.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In Lieu of flowers, donations or memorials can be made in Marilyn’s name to the Clarion County Agency on Aging Meals on Wheels.
