Buck, Mary Belle-photoMary Belle Buck, age 88, of Knox, passed away Friday afternoon, November 22, 2019 at the Shippenville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Born February 4, 1931 in Turkey City, she was the daughter of the late Frank Lincoln Craig and Margaret Latshaw Craig Francisco.

She graduated from the St. Petersburg High School in 1949 and earned an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Clarion State College. She also completed the Dale Carnegie Course.

Mary was a secretary for Knox Glass Containers Corp. and Anchor Glass Corp. for 30 years.

She married Arlie Leroy Buck on April 9, 1955 in Reynoldsville. He preceded her in death on January 8, 1998.

Mary was a member of the Mt. Joy United Methodist Church and the National Secretaries Association.

She enjoyed her travels to Arizona, Europe, Mexico and Florida.

Survivors include six nephews:  Keith (Judy) Shrum, Mike (Starene) Shrum, Curtis (Rhonda) Craig, Wesley (Krista) Craig, Andy (Kelly) Best and Shawn (Shanna) Best and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Mary is also survived by a stepsister, Susan Best and her husband, Thomas, of St. Petersburg and a sister-in-law, Sally Craig of State College.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Craig and her stepfather, Albert Francisco.

Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday, November 25, 2019 at the William N. Rupert Mortuary, Inc., 430 Mendenhall Avenue, Knox.

Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Reverend Wade Barto officiating.

Interment will take place in the Knox Union Cemetery.
