garbaczMichael J Garbacz, 61, of Reno, PA. died suddenly and unexpectedly of natural causes Wednesday evening November 27, 2019.

He was born May 28, 1958 in Oil City to the late Anthony and Cecilia Oleksak Garbacz. Mike was a 1976 graduate of Venango Christian High School.

Mike worked in several departments at Joy Manufacturing, retiring after 40 years of service. He currently was a motor coach operator for Anderson Coach Travel.

He was involved for many years and was currently serving as Chief of the Reno Volunteer Fire Department. He was passionate about his service to the community. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Mike enjoyed music and the comradery of his poker club friends.

He was married on June 8, 1991 to Christine Haupt who preceded him in death on August 3, 1994.

Survivors include Wendy Stellitano Garbacz; stepsons Nathan and Brandon Stellitano and granddaughters Riley and Katlynn Stellitano.

He is also survived by a sister Susan Strus and husband Tim, a brother David Garbacz and his wife Amy. Also, many nieces and nephews, Stacy Harring, Michael Strus, Benjamin Garbacz, Gregory Garbacz, Kelly Wintenute, Chad Haugh, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Preceding him in death was a sister Judi Haugh and grandson Jaxon Michael Stellitano.

Visitation will take place Monday December 2, from 2-8 PM in the Reinsel Funeral Home and Crematory, and again from 10- 11AM Tuesday December 3.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday December 3 at 11 AM in the funeral home with Fr. John Miller presiding.

Interment will follow at the Reno Cemetery.
