Myrtle N. Chandler, 94, of Rimersburg, PA, passed away Friday, April 25, 2014, at Clarview Nursing Home in Sligo.

She was born November 18, 1919 in Mahoning Twp., Armstrong County, PA, the daughter of Elmer Clade and Jennie Grace (White) Eberhart.

Myrtle was a lifetime resident of the area and attended the Leatherwood Church in New Bethlehem.

She previously worked at Earl Bartlett’s Store in Cottage Hill for many years but after marrying William Preston Chandler on March 9, 1945, she stayed home to care for her family.

In her free time, Myrtle enjoyed crocheting, reading and spending time with her many pets and beloved grandchildren.

Her memory will be cherished by her daughter, Marie Kirkpatrick and husband, Lyle, of Rimersburg; grandchildren, William Kirkpatrick and wife, Connie, Kyle Kirkpatrick and wife, Beth, and Shanelle Ferringer and husband, Rodney; great-grandchildren, Natasha Vasbinder and husband, Cory, Tucker Kirkpatrick, Haley Kirkpatrick, Laura Kirkpatrick, and Tiya, Luke, Kirk, Max and Cooper Ferringer; and great-great-grandchildren, Addisson, Cailin and Cadence Vasbinder.

Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband of 37 years, William Preston Chandler, who died November 5, 1982; and brother, William Thomas Eberhart.

At Myrtle’s request services will be private.

Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, New Bethlehem, PA.
