FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — The Nature Art Showcase and Sale returns to Franklin this weekend, featuring the works of 71 artists from nine Pennsylvania counties.

The Nature Art Showcase and Sale will take place at the Barrow-Civic Theatre in Franklin on Friday, February 3, and Saturday, February 4.

The public is welcome to attend the free event, which will run from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday and from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.

A total of 71 artists from nine Pennsylvania counties will be featured, which is a significant increase from last year’s approximately 50 artists. The artwork will showcase the four seasons of northwestern Pennsylvania’s natural landscapes and outdoor recreation.

A reception with refreshments and the chance to meet many of the artists will be held on Friday evening.

The artists will showcase a diverse range of techniques, including pottery, fabric arts, painting (acrylics, oil, watercolor, alcohol ink), sculpture, photography (3-D and 2-D), wood carving, pastel and pencil drawings, mosaics, painted porcelain, and mixed media. Many items will be available for purchase on-site.

The Nature Art Showcase and Sale is a joint effort of two non-profit organizations: the Penn Soil Resource Conservation and Development Council (serving eight counties) and the Council on Greenways and Trails (serving Clarion, Crawford, and Venango Counties).
