The award marks the third time this season that Obenrader has won the PSAC West Freshman of the Week, while a Gannon player has grabbed the league honor in six of eight weeks in 2018-19.

Obenrader put together a pair of strong efforts in back-to-back divisional games for the Lady Knights. She averaged 11 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 19.0 minutes per game off the bench for Gannon.

The 5-11 guard/forward tied a career-high in scoring with 15 points against Pitt-Johnstown on Monday. Obenrader grabbed seven rebounds and knocked down six field goals, including three from beyond the arc, in 20 minutes against the Mountain Cats.

Obenrader followed it up with an efficient outing against Seton Hill on Saturday. She scored seven points on 3-of-4 shooting and pulled down seven rebounds in 18 minutes, helping the Lady Knights snap a four-game skid with a 79-65 road triumph over the Griffins.

On the season, Obenrader ranks 13th in the PSAC and leads the team in rebounding with 7.0 boards/game while adding 7.6 points/game. The Lady Knights’ freshmen class has contributed in a big way this season as Boston McKinney and Ivana Twumasi have each won the conference award along with Obenrader.

Gannon (7-9 overall, 3-6 PSAC) n hits the road for a matchup with nearby Edinboro on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
