Oil City Arts Council’s Virtual Transit Concerts Continue With ‘At-Home Dinner Concert’ on February 12

| February 10, 2021

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – The Oil City Arts Council will present a Virtual Transit Concert with Acoustic Earle on Friday, February 12.

The event will begin at 7:30 p.m.

The concert is one of several that the Arts Council’s Programming Committee converted from live events to virtual in response to challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, and its Friday evening timeslot creates a fine dinner concert to enjoy at home.

Acoustic Earle is a local acoustic band composed of Richard Atha, vocalist, and Jimmi Holmes, guitarist. The band plays a broad range of crowd favorites and originals that includes rock, blues, and country music, containing influences from Nashville to Seattle.

The members like to focus on presenting simple versions of songs with their vocals and instruments, providing a tribal beat. As a result, audiences often hear and experience a new version of the songs they play – and have been responding well to their musical style.

On February 12, get takeout from your favorite local restaurant to enjoy an at-home dinner concert! At concert time (7:30 pm), click on this link: https://www.oilcityartscouncil.org/all-events/concerts/transit-concert-series/acoustic-earle/.

The in-person Transit Concerts are normally held in the Great Room of the National Transit Building on the second Friday of fall/winter months for an admission cost of $10.00 at the door, but the virtual concerts are free and can be enjoyed from any device, wherever you are.

The final Virtual Transit Concert of the 2020-2021 schedule will be held on March 12. For more information, visit the Oil City Arts Council online at www.oilcityartscouncil.org or Facebook @oilcityartscouncil.
