Oil City Girls Fall to Hickory

OIL CITY Pa. — The Oilers’ girls squad came up just short in a 39-32 loss to Hickory.

During the majority of the contest, Oil City trailed as they were narrowly outscored in each of the final three quarters after finishing the first period tied at six. Aniyah Anderson scored over half of Hickory’s points, scoring 20 points, 10 of which came from the charity stripe. Emma Stahl and Jenna Fischli each had strong games for the Oilers, scoring 11 and 10 points, respectively.

The loss drops the Oilers to 2-12 in 2021.
