Oil City Girls Surge to Win Over Meadville

OIL CITY, Pa. — Oil City was kept off the board in the first quarter but emerged 48-39 victors over Meadville after three big offensive quarters.

The Oilers scored all 48 points in the final three quarters to win after scoring zero first-quarter points. Fortunately for Oil City, their defense kept them in the game, as the Oilers only conceded four points in the opening period. 17 second-quarter points gave Oil City a 17-14 lead at the half, putting the Oilers in control for the remainder of the evening.

Maddy Marczak and Jenna Fischli each had fantastic scoring nights, leading the Oilers with 17 points apiece. Ali Manning also scored eight points for the Oilers.
