Oil City Man Allegedly Slams Victim’s Head Off Wall, Wraps Victim’s Feet with Phone Cord

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — According to Oil City Police Department, an Oil City man has been jailed following an alleged incident of domestic violence that occurred around 12:06 a.m. on April 29, on Hoffman Avenue, in Oil City, Venango County.

Officers were dispatched to Hoffman Avenue for an alleged domestic dispute between 40-year-old Bradley Felmlee, of Oil City, and a female victim.

Felmlee allegedly left before officers arrived, according to police.

The victim stated that an argument over money started the incident, police say.

According to police, Felmlee allegedly unplugged the phone, so the victim could not call the police.

Felmlee allegedly struck the victim’s head off the wall and floor, then he allegedly wrapped the victim’s feet with the phone cord and attempted to wrap it around her neck, police say.

Felmlee was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Andrew F. Fish at 11:45 a.m. on April 29.

He faces the following offenses:

  • Unlawful Restraint/ Serious Bodily Injury, Misdemeanor 1
  • Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
  • Harassment — Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary
  • Driving License Suspended/Rev Purs to Sec
  • Manuf., etc. Controlled Substance

Unable to post $50,000.00 monetary bail, Felmlee was incarcerated in the Venango County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on May 6 in Venango County Central Court in front of Judge Fish.
