Oil City Man Faces Multiple Charges After Resisting Arrest

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — Police say around 2:10 a.m. on June 13, an Oil City man resisted arrest after officers attempted to take him into custody for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct on Seneca Street, in Oil City, Venango County.

During the arrest, Matthew Charles Silvers, of Oil City, allegedly resisted officers, according to police.

He was also allegedly found to have drug paraphernalia on his person upon arrest, police say.

Charges have been filed against Silvers for Resisting Arrest, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Disorderly Conduct, and Public Drunkenness.
