Oil City Runs Through Conneaut, Advances to D10 4A Title Game

OIL CITY, Pa. – On the back of an unstoppable rushing game, the Oil City Oilers dominated Conneaut Area in the first round of the D10 Class 4A Playoffs, winning 56-0 on Friday.

Star running back Cam Russell was again the standout player for the Oilers, rushing for 196 yards and four touchdowns, carrying the ball only 13 times. Russell scored three touchdowns in the first half, and the Oilers took a 37-0 lead into halftime.

Oil City also received a great performance from running back Sean Stack, who ran for 101 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Holden Stahl threw for 117 yards in the win. The result was never in doubt, as Oil City’s tremendous line play enabled the Oilers to dominate all aspects of the game.

The win advances the Oilers to the D10 4A Title Game, where they will face the winner of Harbor Creek and Meadville.
