Oil City Teen Cited for Underage Drinking in Franklin

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — According to Franklin Police, around 12:30 a.m. on July 2, an incident of underage drinking occurred on the 200 block of Grant Street, in Franklin, Venango County.

Police say two male juveniles were stopped on the 200 block of Grant Street for a curfew violation.

According to police, one of the males — a 13-year-old Oil City juvenile — was found to have been drinking and almost two times over the legal limit of intoxication.

The juvenile was transported to the Franklin Police Department where he waited until his legal guardian came to pick him up, police say.

The juvenile was issued a citation for Underage Drinking and issued a warning for the curfew ordinance, according to police.

He was released to his adult guardian, police say.
