Oil City VFW Celebrates 100 Years

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — The Oil City Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) on Saturday celebrated 100 years in operation.

The celebration, which took place outdoors in the VFW’s back parking lot, included everything from guest speakers and food to a DJ and fireworks.

Speakers at the landmark event included VFW Pennsylvania State Commander Ronald J. Peters, State Representative R. Lee James (R-Venango/Butler), and Venango County Commissioner Albert “Chip” Abramovic.
