Oil City Woman Accused of Bad Checks, Theft by Deception

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — Authorities in Oil City say a woman was arrested on multiple charges stemming from an incident that occurred in August 2014.

According to Oil City Police, Stevenie Rankin-Cavin was arrested on an outstanding warrant for the following offenses:

– Theft by Failure to make Required Disposition of Funds
– Bad Checks
– Theft by Deception — False Impression

Rankin-Cavin was arraigned before Judge Lowrey and lodged in the Venango County Jail on $25,000.00 cash bail.

Police say Rankin-Cavin also allegedly has an outstanding arrest warrant out of Jefferson County.

She will be extradited to face those charges as well, according to police.
