OIL CITY, Pa. – The Oil City YMCA will host a series of Jr. NBA Basketball clinics on Saturdays beginning January 15.
The deadline for program registration has been extended through Friday, January 14.
JR NBA YOUTH BASKETBALL
Held Saturdays beginning Saturday, January 15, at the Oil City YMCA gymnasium.
Learn the fundamentals and skills of one of the fastest-growing sports in the world… basketball!
The Jr. NBA will introduce your child to the individual and team skills needed to be a successful basketball player. Those skills include; dribbling, passing, shooting, and individual and team defense. Youth will also be introduced to more advanced skills such as screening, moving without the ball, and help defense.
The first three weeks of the program will teach skill and knowledge-building practices designed to ready youth athletes for competition. The final three weeks of the program will consist of games! Each child will receive a team t-shirt. The program fee is $32/member and $52/non-member,
Kindergarten: 9:00 a.m. start
1st and 2nd grade: 10:30 a.m. start
3rd through 5th grade: 12:00 p.m. start
6-8th Grade: 1:15 p.m. start

The YMCA hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The YMCA is open on Sundays, January through March from 1:00 to 5:00 pm.
