Oil City YMCA to Host Youth Basketball Clinic with Former Pitt Coach Jodi Gault

OIL CITY, Pa. – Jodi Gault, former Pitt-Johnstown Women’s Basketball Coach, will be hosting a basketball clinic for boys and girls in grades three through eight at the Oil City YMCA beginning April 12.

The clinic will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and will include the fundamentals of shooting, dribbling, passing, defense, rebounding, 1-on-1 moves, and 3-on-3 play.

Gault is one of the most successful women’s basketball coaches in the NCAA Division II. She led Pitt-Johnstown to a 540-156 record in 25 years from 1982 – 2007. She has coached 20 All-Americans.

Gault played collegiately at Slippery Rock and had a pro career in the former Women’s Professional Basketball League.

The clinic will be held April 12, 14, 19, 21, 26, 28, May 3 & 5 for grades 3-8.

The cost to attend is $50.00 for YMCA Members and $75.00 for non-members.  Registration is available online  and will also take place at the YMCA Member Service Desk.  Participants must sign up in advance.

The Oil City YMCA hours are Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
