OIL CITY, Pa. — Strong team play on offense coupled with a firm defensive performance powered the Oilers past Conneaut, 53-35.
No Oiler scored more than 11 points in the win, but six players scored over six points, with Holden Stahl and Isaiah Aeschbaker reaching double figures. Oil City scored 10+ points in each quarter while holding Conneaut to under 10 points in both the first and second quarters, allowing the Oilers to rush out to a 28-12 halftime lead.
Stahl added four assists and four boards to his stat line. Dakota Cole was a defensive standout for Oil City, tallying an impressive eight steals. Conneaut was led by Mason Kreniser and Zach Walker, who each scored 11 points.
