Oil Creek Memorial Landing Dedication Set for April 24

VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) — The Oil Region Alliance of Business, Industry and Tourism is planning to hold a ceremony to dedicate the new Oil Creek Memorial Landing on Saturday, April 24.

The dedication ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. and will include refreshments, remarks from those involved in the creation of the project, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The Oil Creek Memorial Landing is a land and water trailhead on North Seneca Street (PA Route 8) in Oil City.

The landing provides additional parking and easy access to the McClintock Trail, a section of the Erie to Pittsburgh Trail, and to the access of Oil Creek, a PA designated Water trail, for kayaking, fishing, exploring, etc.

The event is open to the public.

Participants are encouraged to bring bikes and/or kayaks to take advantage of the land and water trails this site connects.
