Patty SeybertPatricia Ann (Patty) Seybert, 77, of Marienville, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on October 2, 1939, in Warren, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Cecilia Dangelo of Warren.

Patty graduated from Warren Area High School and was a graduate of St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing.

Patty was married on August 13, 1963, to Robert (Bob) Seybert at Holy Redeemer Church in Warren.

Patty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She began her career as registered nurse at Warren General Hospital.

She also worked for Senator John Peterson as a representative aide for over 20 years.

Patty was an involved community member with Forest County.

She was a Forest County Republican Chairman, a member of the Marienville Women’s Club, and a very active member of St. Ann’s parish which included being a member of the parish council and being a lector.

Patty is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bob, and two children, Chris Seybert of Erie, and his wife, Debby, and Brad Seybert of Stoneboro. Patty is also survived by her dear sister Rosemarie Albaugh and her husband, David, of Joshua, Texas, and her dear brother Paul Dangelo of Erie.

Patty is survived by her loving granddaughter, Alyssa Seybert of Erie, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Bryan, whom she and her husband took care of and an infant brother, Jon Dangelo.

There will be no public viewing hours.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated will be held at 11:00am on Saturday June 3rd, 2017 with Reverend Christopher Barnes at St. Ann’s Church, pastor as celebrant, 101 Hemlock Street Marienville, PA 16239.

Interment with grave side committal services immediately following the mass at St. Ann’s Cemetery, Jenks Twp., Forest County, PA.

A luncheon will follow to celebrate Patty’s life will be held at St. Mary’s Church (Stutz Hall) located at 117 Lencer Drive Crown, PA 16220.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at the Clarion-Forest VNA and Hospice for the care that Patty received.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bryan Seybert Memorial Fund through St. Mary Church, PO Box 41, 117 Lencer Drive, Crown, PA 16220.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Furlong Funeral Home, 140 Cherry Street, Marienville, PA.
