WEST MEAD TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police are investigating a reported burglary of nearly $900 worth of power tools from a storage unit in Crawford County.

According to Meadville-based State Police, the burglary happened sometime between 4:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. on Monday, June 5, at West Mead Self Storage on Cochranton Road, in West Mead Township, Crawford County.

Police say a report was filed after the victim discovered someone broke into three storage units.

The victim told police he watched surveillance revealed two males–one black male and one white non-hispanic male–entering the property. The suspects then “messed with (the security cameras),” and then begin to break into the storage units.

The suspects proceeded to steal approximately $895 worth of power tools, police say.

While the suspects left the scene, they dropped a glove and a black welding mask that were used during this crime. These items were collected for evidence.
