Police Investigating Identity Theft Resulting in Over $1K Stolen

CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police are investigation an incident of identity theft that resulted in a theft of over $1,000 from a victim’s account.

Police say a known 56-year-old Seneca woman was the victim of identity theft that was reported on February 22.

According to police, a total of $1,055.84 was stolen from the victim’s account.

The theft occurred through transactions on the victim’s debit card that took place from November 2020 through January 2021.

The investigation is ongoing.
