Police: Man Bites Woman on Forehead, Arrested for Assault

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — Oil City Police say around 12:41 a.m. on August 13, they responded to the intersection of Orange and North Streets for a report of domestic violence between a female and a male.

According to police, when officers arrived, the male fled on foot. A foot chase ensued and officers captured the male in the 600 block of Front Street.

Police say the male was identified as Joel Stewart Rinker, Jr.; he was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol and underage.

According to police, Rinker allegedly pushed the female to the ground causing an abrasion, pulled her hair, and bit her on the forehead causing a contusion.

He was arrested and charged with Simple Assault; Underage Drinking; and Public Intoxication.
