Police Release Details on Franklin Man Arrested for Drug-Related Charges

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) – Franklin Police say around 4:02 p.m. on December 21, a Franklin man was arrested on drug related charges on South Edgewood Drive, in Franklin, Venango County.

According to police, 40-year-old Joshua J. Grove, of Franklin, was stopped for traffic violations on South Edgewood Drive and was allegedly found to be under the influence of a controlled substance which affected his ability to drive a motor vehicle.

Grove was arrested and underwent an exam by a PA State Police Drug Recognition Expert who also deemed him to be under the influence of a controlled substance, police say.

He was also in possession of drug paraphernalia during the arrest, according to police.

He was taken to the Venango County Jail due to being on Probation/Parole.

He has been charged with the following offenses:

-DUI: Controlled Substance – Schedule 1 – 1st Offense
-DUI: Controlled Substance – Impaired Ability – 1st Offense
-Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia
and two traffic violation-
-Failure To Keep Right
-Periods For Requiring Lighted Lamps – Any Time Windshield Wipers Are On

He is awaiting a preliminary hearing.
