Police Release Details on Two Hit and Run Incidents in Cranberry Township

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police have released information on two hit and run accidents that occurred in Walmart’s parking lot, on Kimberly Lane, Cranberry Township, Venango County.

Teen Leaves Scene of Accident

Police say around 3:52 p.m. on April 16, a 2014 Jeep Compass was legally parked in a parking space in Row 10 of the Walmart parking lot.

A 2001 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 17-year-old female, made a right turn and pulled into the parking spot on the driver’s side of the Jeep, according to police.

A portion of the passenger’s side of the Silverado impacted the driver’s side rear bumper and tail light of the Jeep, police say.

After the impact, the teen left the parking space and moved to another row of the parking lot before parking the vehicle, according to police.

Unidentified Driver Leaves Scene of Hit and Run

According to police, around 1:30 p.m. on April 21, a 2007 Pontiac G6 was legally parked in the Walmart parking lot, and an unidentified vehicle entered the parking spot on the left side of the parked vehicle.

The unidentified vehicle struck the left rear door of the Pontiac and fled the scene without leaving proper notification.

No other information was provided.
